Crispy sourdough baguette baked fresh French-style in our Rofco oven. Ooh la la!
Baguettes are super fancy! The dough is bulk fermented overnight, and then divided, shaped, proved and baked all on the day it is eaten. Tres sophisticated, tres high maintenance! But seriously, because of that, we can’t offer them early like we can with some other loaves.
Enter, the concept of an ‘evening baguette’.
It’s as nature intended. Baguettes are best eaten super fresh, so when you’re having dinner, this baguette will be at its absolute most glorious - dipped into a soup, ripped off and accompanied by a hearty stew, or just eaten whole with a glob of butter in bed. And then of course, toasted with eggs the next morning. Delicieux.
